Smooth stones, weathered by the waters of Moosehead Lake, are integrated into this massage and are placed on key tension areas.  Heated to the perfect temperature, the stones transmit soothing warmth and energy.  Combined with the masterful pressure of the massage strokes, stiff muscles loosen and melt into submission.  Feel your stress drift away.

If you choose to use our spa’s private guest bath to shower following your massage, please notify us when scheduling your massage.  An additional 1/2 hour will be added to your massage treatment time and a $25/per person fee will be added.

This massage focuses on the muscles relevant to specific sporting activities enjoyed on and around Moosehead Lake.  Thighs and calves are targeted after a day of hiking or biking while shoulders, arms and hands are the focus after canoeing or kayaking.  Massage, paired with slow, easy stretching loosens and warms the affected muscles to relieve pain, prevent stiffness and return the muscles back to their normal state. This massage may also precede activity to prepare muscles for performance and endurance.

Swedish massage is an extremely popular, simple, soothing touch therapy.  It is defined by four or five techniques which include stroking, kneading, rhythmic chopping and rubbing.  The ultimate goal is relaxation.
