Your perfect vacation getaway would not be complete without a special evening of dining at the award-winning Blair Hill Inn Restaurant.  Stunning hill-top lake views, beautiful decor, relaxed yet exceptional service and creative cuisine has earned the inn 'Top Ten' billing as one of Maine's most outstanding restaurants. Featuring fresh, 'farm-to-table' ingredients - including vegetables and herbs from the inn's own gardens and greenhouse - Executive Chef, Gary Dethlefsen, creates five-course menus that are new each weekend. The result is a selection of light & flavorful dishes, as seasonal as the week's harvest, and as artfully presented as they are delectable.  Click here for a sample of our dinner menu.

Inspired dishes such as Maine Lobster Salad over a Sweet Corn Griddle Cake with *Cilantro & *Beet Mousse; Pan Seared Maine Halibut with Jasmine Rice & Garden *Kale in Coconut-lemongrass Broth and *Mint-*Basil Pesto and; Wood Grilled Tenderloin of Beef topped with Roasted *Garlic Butter, Crispy Potato Stacks set on a pool of Garden *Carrot Puree demonstrate the creative use of 'everything Maine' prepared with 'just-picked' garden ingredients.  (*Denotes ingredients picked from the gardens of Blair Hill Inn.)

Dining here goes beyond the culinary.  The setting is beyond compare.  Arrive early and stroll the inn's magnificent grounds and gardens; you may run into the Chef snipping greens or edible flowers.  Step inside to order your favorite cocktail or bottle of wine from the exquisite, wood paneled lounge.  Savor each sip as you relax on the veranda overlooking brilliant Moosehead Lake.  Then, be seated at your table set thoughtfully with fresh flowers and crisp linens amid the beautiful, historic Blair Hill Inn.  Linger, laugh, and savor your evening.  And, if you want the night to last just a litle bit longer - stay for an aperitif and one of the most awe inspiring sunsets you'll ever see.

"Blair Hill Inn: gracious, elegant without pretension, pomp" Portland Press Herald, 2011

"Our unforgettable dinner begins high above the lake at Blair Hill Inn.  We relax in wicker armchairs facing west, watching the sun descend over the shimmering lake far below.  It's setting is like none other.  I resolve not to let this stand in the way of a fair examination of the evening's food.  Based on our evening, the chef has an expert's hand, eye and sense of combinations, along with a desire to please a clientele that varies from well-heeled traditionalists to urban sophisticates.  You might say civilization ends in Greenville, but it makes a grand last hurrah at Blair Hill Inn.  Gracious service and the restaurant's incomparable setting alone would make this establishment noteworthy, but the kitchen's well -conceived and executed dishes earn it high marks for the entire experience. "

Blair Hill Inn Rating is  4 and 1/2 stars

(4 stars/Excellent, 5 stars/Extraordinary)

Food and Wine Magazine, 2008

Arguably the finest inn in all of inland Maine (and possibly the entire state), Blair Hill Inn is pure North Woods fantasy."

A guest review from TripAdvisor.com

"After what is probably my fifteenth meal at Blair Hill Inn I can say with some authority that this restaurant offers some of the best food in the state combined with views that leave little response but an awestruck silence.  You almost don't want it to be found out.  But, it certainly deserves to be."
